As we move past Diwali and October, it’s time to look back at the mobiefit RUN challenges in October and congratulate our winners. Throughout October, the Festive Run challenge – especially organised for Diwali – and the October Champ 5K challenge saw great response from runners across the world.
The Festive Run challenge was all about running the most number of km before Diwali day on October 30th, 2016. With over 100 runners competing in this challenge, it looked like it was going to be a close call. But with a total of 545 km, Agra’s Rahul Parihar took the title. Faisal Ahmed of Delhi came in distant second with a total of 210 km, while third place Cajetan Rodrigues from Goa clocked 52km.
In the second of the mobiefit RUN challenges, we were looking for the runner who could run the fastest 5K in the month. This challenge saw the fastest runners of the lot, including The Great India Run ultra-runner Kaushal Kumar Chauhan, aiming to take the crown. However Kaushal had to settle for second place after Faisal Ahmed went one step further from his Festive Run performance to win the challenge. His final time for the 5K was an impressive 22 minutes, pipping Kaushal who ran the 5K in just over 24 minutes. In third place was Rajesh Bandi who finished 24 seconds slower than Kaushal.
Watch out for more updates on the November challenges in mobiefit RUN, and don’t forget to drop a comment congratulating our winners!
