It is difficult to imagine coffee as a colorless liquid. But that’s precisely what a UK based company has come up with. Dubbed CLR CFF, this new beverage is the first of its kind created by Slovakian David Nagy with his brother Adam when they were living in London, The Evening Standard reports. They were inspired to create the colorless drink after they got fed up of the downside of caffeine consumption. So now, your regular cup of Joe is about to change and you can get your daily caffeine fix without staining your teeth.

Despite it’s similarity to a bottle of water, the brand’s website promises it has been made from “high quality Arabica coffee beans” using “methods which have never been used before”. Not only is it purely authentic, but the drink is also free of preservatives, sugars, artificial flavors, and stabilizers making it a perfectly healthy pick-me-up.

“We are heavy coffee drinkers,” Nagy told the newspaper. “Like many other people we struggled with the teeth stains caused by it. There was nothing on the market that would suit our needs so we decided to create our own recipe.”

Not only is this beneficial to your teeth, Nagy also claims that his make of coffee actually has lesser calories compared to the regular brown variety.

The UK’s Metro tried it as well but didn’t give it any rave reviews. One staff member said that, “Imagine making coffee and then forgetting to wash it out. The next day, you add cold water to get the very last dregs of flavor out of the wet beans-and that’s what this tastes like.”Another said, “It would taste delicious with a splash of rum.” That’s another reason why Nagy actually invented their own colorless brand, so that it is the best brew to make cocktails.

At £5.99 for two 200-ml bottles, CLR CFF is definitely not easy on your wallet and is also not available outside of UK. But because of its supposed caffeine kick, healthy ingredients, and non-teeth-staining qualities, we sure hope this health trend catches up.
