The Bicep Curl

In this video he shows you to do a Bicep Curl, which works on the brachialis and the brachioradialis. The former muscle is located under your bicep, while the later is located in your forearm. A bicep curl is a rather simple exercise and one requires a basic set of dumbbells. Stand up or sit straight with a dumbbell in each hand at arm’s length. Keep your elbows close to your torso and rotate the palms of your hands until they are facing forward. This will be your starting position. Now, keeping the upper arms stationary, exhale and curl the weights while contracting your biceps.

The Barbell Curl

Barbell Curls work primarily your biceps, but also trains muscles in your forearms and shoulders to some degree, as well. In this video Kapeish Sunda shows you how to do a barbell curl, which is one of the most essential bicep exercises in order to tone the arms and add muscle mass.You can perform regular barbell curls by grasping a barbell with an underhand grip. Stand up straight with a shoulder-width stance and with your shoulders squared. Allow the barbell to hang at arm’s length in front of you, with your hands, arms, and shoulders aligned. While focusing on your biceps and keeping your upper-arms still, lift the bar upwards to your chest. Once you’ve lifted the bar as high as you can, squeeze your biceps and then begin slowly lowering the bar down until your arms are nearly straight, again.
