Running can make a difference in people’s lives and not just through fitness! The mobiefit Digital Marathon is all about proving just that through celebrities who have made fitness their lives, and one of India’s most promising ultra-runners Kaushal Kumar Chauhan (pictured above)! The PNB Metlife and mobiefit Digital Marathon is envisioned as a run that will bring drought relief and make Maharashtra a drought-free state by 2019. Funds to support this initiative will be raised by our runners.
With over 2000 km run, we have already donated more than Rs 10,000 through these runs in just a week of the Digital Marathon.
To join this challenge visit the Health for Happiness portal and join one of four teams. Team Aviator is led by mobiefit co-founder Gul Panag, mobiefit RUN icon Milind Soman leads Team Ironman, while mobiefit BODY fitness companion Bani J is leading Team Rock N Rolla. mobiefit #RunForRio winner and The Great India Run ultra-runner Kaushal Kumar Chauhan leads Team Great India Run! Join one of these teams and start running.
For every 3.5km or 5000 steps you cover, the initiative will contribute Rs 50 towards making Maharashtra a drought-free state by 2019. The run is to help farmers who have seen some of the worst monsoons in recent years and every little bit will make their lives that much easier.
In addition to the Digital Marathon, the mobiefit RUN #RunForHappiness challenge is still ongoing with many more prizes still to be won, including the grand prize of a brand new treadmill for the overall leader. As we build up to the Satara Hill Half Marathon in September, the prizes will get bigger and now there’s a bigger incentive on offer for runners using mobiefit!
