Vibha’s Inorbit Dream Mile 2015
The Inorbit Dream Mile organized by Vibha in Bangalore is a continuation of the organization’s efforts of spreading awareness about the plight of underprivileged children. This year’s event will feature a 21km half marathon, the first of its kind for Vibha, in addition to 10K and 5K runs , and a 2K Fun Walk/Run. All races will be held on July 5, 2015.
Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on June 21, while on-the-spot registration is possible on the race day, 30 minutes before the race kicks off. The cost of registration for the 5K run is Rs 500, while the 10K run has a Rs 750 entry fee. The new Half Marathon registration fee is Rs 1000, while the 2K fun walk is a free event. Registration fee is waived off for children under the age of 12, though they still have to register to run. Vibha will be providing certificates and medals for all 5K, 10K and Half Marathon finishers. For more information, visit the Facebook page for the event.
Thane 10K Run
Organised by the Thane District Athletic Association and promoted and supported by Rhythmic Running and the Gurukul Sports Foundation, the Thane 10K run will be held on July 5 at the Hiranandani Estate housing complex in Thane.
There’s an age limit of 18 years for the event, and the finishing times will be eligible for use in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon next year. The last date of registration is June 25, and there is no provision for on-the-spot registrations. The registration fee is Rs 800, while runners will get medals and certificates with timing included.
Just on the outskirts of Pune, the Bhor Duathlon offers a chance for runners to run in the great outdoors with a trail half marathon, full and half distance duathlons as well as a duathlon relay. Natambi, a small village in Bhor Taluka, about 63 kms away from Pune city, is the location of the race, scheduled to be held on July 12.

The registration fee above is applicable till 11:55 PM on June 30, after which a Rs 100 surplus is levied for late entries. All runners get a finisher’s medal, brunch after the race, and water and energy drinks during the race.
