Capital of Uttarakhand, Dehradun, known for its beautiful scenery lying between two of India’s greatest rivers Ganga and Yamuna, will host the second edition of the Dehradun Half Marathon, one of the most picturesque running events in the country. The Dehradun Half Marathon is being organized by Thrill Zone, and after the success of the 2015 edition, the sophomore edition of the marathon is scheduled to be held on April 24, 2016.

Dehradun Half Marathon comprises a half marathon (21.1 Km), a 5K (open and student category) as well as a Challenge Run for the Visually Challenged. Participants can only register for one event and each registration will have to be done separately. Registration is currently ongoing with no clear last date yet. You can sign up right here.

The registration fee for the half marathon is Rs 800, while the entry fee for the 5k open run is Rs 400. The 5k student run has a registration fees of Rs 300, while the Challenge run for Visually Challenged has an entrance fee of Rs 400. All finishers of the half marathon run will receive participation medals, T-shirts, participation certificates and refreshments. Before the race, the organisers have arranged the very crucial warmup session, which will be conducted by Mr G.P.Singh, a Dehradun-based Indian athletics coach.
