Getting started is often the hardest thing for most non-runners, and with a run-walk combo it’s easier for even the most sedentary person to get active.
However, keeping the intensity up and keeping your running streak alive is not an easy task. Even mobiefit RUN’s icon Milind Soman has gone through this phase, when he started running. “I hated running initially, but after I finished my first half marathon, I was hooked and amazed by the sense of achievement. The best way to relive it is to continue running,” Milind says. Watch the below video to find out more about Milind’s running philosophy!
And the secret is so simple. Prioritise your day according to what’s important and your fitness is the most important thing especially as you grow older. Don’t let excuses get in the way of your running. Make time for it, just like you would for lunch or a mid-day nap. It’s about bringing running into your daily routine in a way that it doesn’t interfere with your personal life.
Make time for a 15-minute run, if half an hour is not possible. Or do runs on alternating days just like we have designed the mobiefit RUN program. The best thing you can do for your body is make running part of your daily schedule, and see as it rewards you with endorphins, a happy feeling and the ability to take on any other challenge.
