We knew runners have their hearts in the right place and that’s why we backed ourselves to make a difference to the lives of the underprivileged and abused!
And it couldn’t have been possible without the 900-plus runners who showed up and made mobiefit RUN’s #StepsToSmiles challenge a huge success.
For each kilometer covered, mobiefit donated Rs 50 to Arpan, the NGO leading the battle against child sexual abuse, and also work towards empowering the kids.
In all over Rs 2,63,000 were raised through this monumental run in just 15 days! Together the runners covered over 5,270 km, with 14 runners crossing the 100 km mark and contributing nearly half of the total funds raised. What a great effort.
Launched on International Women’s Day in support of runner Anuja Mudda and NGO Arpan who are leading the fight against child sexual abuse in India, #StepsToSmiles was a way to convert kms run through mobiefit into funds for Arpan.

Unsurprisingly Anuja was the leading contributor, having run a distance of 450 km, across 3 states and 8 cities through her ultra from Pune to Goa. In addition, over 900 others became a part of the change by downloading mobiefit RUN for Android and iOS.
Before the run, Anuja told mobiefit, “I have been through things during my childhood which still affect me, even though I’m an adult now. This fear has been imbibed in me and hence I wanted to do whatever I could for the cause of child molestation. When I contacted the NGO Arpan, which works specifically towards this cause, I realized I can help them in two ways. One was by raising funds and the other was that my run can actually help spread the awareness against child sexual abuse.”
