The Nike Air Max range is one of those running shoes that all generations of runners are familiar with. They are iconic, and one of the most widely loved running shoe lines in the business. It all started with the Nike Air Max 1, with visible air in its heel, and then the more popular Air Max 90, which was overshadowed by the Air Max 95. These legendary shoes are still known as much for the comfort they provided runners as for their distinctive retro style.
Of course, its popularity has ensured that Nike will never think twice about continuing the line. And thus we come to the Nike Air Max 2016!

A full-length Max Air unit – that has given the range its name – a lightweight Engineered mesh upper and midfoot Flywire cables all come together to offer what Nike claims is a supportive fit. The Engineered mesh upper should offer ventilation for the forefoot, while the partial mesh inner sleeve has been included to improve breathability and still offer a sock-like fit.
The Flywire cables integrate with the laces on the 2016 model, and wrap around the foot arch for an adaptive, supportive fit. The waffled outsole should ideally provide great durability and offer good multi-surface traction. Priced at $190, they are available in blue, black and red, with glowing accents for night running.
