On the other hand, trying to sleep when your stomach is making scary growling sounds isn’t the best idea either. So the option is to eat really healthy snacks at-least 1-2 hours before bedtime. We’re going to list out 3 snacks that are super healthy, and will definitely satiate that tummy of yours.

One serving of this snack contains filling protein and fat, so you feel satiated—and it only packs about 80 calories. Cheese also contains tryptophan, which may help make you drowsy. And by now we all know the various ways one can use cheese. Just press it between two slices of multigrain bread for a quick snack anytime.

Yogurt – Plain or flavoured
Yogurt can help calm your stomach, so you’re less likely to wake up with heartburn or indigestion and instead sleep really well. Plus it’s 150 calories or less. Always check the nutrient info on store-bought packaged yogurts; these are usually loaded with sugar and hence not the greatest of things to consume before bed.

Apples have lots of fiber and a satisfying crunch. Add to that a spoonful of peanut butter and it’s a party in your mouth. The protein in the peanut butter also helps in filling you up. And we have already said plenty about how great peanut butter is – this just adds to its versatility.

Turkey is loaded with Tryptophan and low-fat, high-quality protein. A few slices of turkey will amount to less than a 100 calories. And since this is the holiday season you are likely to be eating a lot of turkey at various parties and get-togethers. Great way to get fuelled up and not be sorry for it.
